- Get a decimal instead of a fraction: Press ◆, then ENTER (≈) instead of ENTER: 1/3 then gives .333333 rather than the exact 1/3.
- Plug a value into an expression: Type the expression, press | (the with key, under ◆), type the value like x=2 and press ENTER: x^2+3x|x=2 gives 10, and x keeps no value afterwards.
- Reuse an old answer: Press CLEAR, then ▲ to move up into the history until the entry or answer you want is highlighted, and press ENTER to paste a copy of it onto the entry line.
- Define your own function: Press F4 (Other) and 1 for Define, type the name and rule like f(x)=x^2+1 (ALPHA | types f) and press ENTER for Done.
- Find a command in the catalog: Press CATALOG, then the key with the command's first letter, without ALPHA (| for F jumps to factor().
