The guides
- Solve any equation (TI-84 Plus CE): Press MATH, then ▲ to jump to Numeric Solver, and ENTER.
- Solve any equation (TI-84 Plus): Press MATH, then ▲ to jump to Solver, and ENTER.
- Find the zeros of a function: Graph the function, press 2nd CALC (above TRACE) and 2 for zero, then type a left bound, ENTER, a right bound, ENTER, and ENTER at Guess.
- Find where two graphs cross: Graph both functions, press 2nd CALC (above TRACE) and 5 for intersect, then ENTER for the first curve, ENTER for the second curve, and type a guess near the crossing and press ENTER.
- Find the maximum or minimum of a graph: Graph the function, press 2nd CALC (above TRACE) and 4 for maximum (3 for minimum), then type a left bound, ENTER, a right bound, ENTER, and ENTER at Guess.
- Make a table of values: Press 2nd TBLSET (above WINDOW), type the first X in TblStart and the step in ΔTbl, then press 2nd TABLE (above GRAPH).
- Solve a system of equations with a matrix: Press 2nd MATRIX (above x⁻¹), ▶ twice to EDIT, ENTER, and type the size and each equation's numbers into [A] as a row.
- Find all the roots of a polynomial: Press APPS, pick PlySmlt2, any key, then 1 for the polynomial root finder; pick the ORDER and press GRAPH (NEXT).
