- Switch between degrees and radians (TI-84 Plus CE): Press MODE, press ▼ twice to the RADIAN DEGREE row, move onto DEGREE (or RADIAN) with ▶ and press ENTER, then 2nd QUIT.
- Switch between degrees and radians (TI-84 Plus): Press MODE, press ▼ twice to the RADIAN DEGREE row, move onto DEGREE (or RADIAN) with ▶ and press ENTER, then 2nd QUIT.
- Graph trig functions in the right window: Type the function into Y=, press ZOOM and 7 for ZTrig: the graph is redrawn with X from −6.15 to 6.15 (about ±2π), a tick every π/2 and Y from −4 to 4.
- Convert degrees to degrees minutes seconds: Set MODE to DEGREE, type the angle, press 2nd ANGLE (above APPS) and 4 for ►DMS, then ENTER: 31.5 becomes 31 degrees, 30 minutes and 0 seconds.
- Use complex numbers: Press MODE, ▼ six times to the REAL a+bi row, ▶ onto a+bi and ENTER, then 2nd QUIT; now √(−4) gives 2i instead of an error.
- Graph and shade inequalities (TI-84 Plus CE): Open APPS, Inequalz and press any key; on Y1 press ◀ and ENTER, ▼ to the Y row, ▶ to pick less than, ▼ ▼ to OK and ENTER.
